Symmetry In Wood - Arundel, Maine

Symmetry In Wood Gordon R. Merrick, creators of exotic and unique Burl veneer furniture and installations. One of a kind hand crafted fine art classic & contemporary home or office Burl veneer tables, desks, cabinets, book cases, entertainment centers, spiral staircases, jewelry boxes, finished rooms & recording studios.

Symmetry in Wood - Gordon R. Merrick of Maine, designs and fabricates one of a kind psychedelic art furniture using burled veneers to create kaleidoscopic imagery.

Gordon began doing Early American pine furniture in the woods of Maine in 1976. Through not being afraid to accept commissions that he had no idea how to fabricate he developed the knowledge and skills that later became his best attribute. After years of chasing the right market he was commissioned to design the woodworking for the interior of Mariah Carey and Tommy Mattolas residence. From there he moved into doing media based environments for both the music industry and also personal home theaters. In the recent years he has been drifting back to his early desire to create lasting works through veneering.

M. Joyce Zeigler - Ridgely, MD

M. Joyce Zeigler likes to paint waterfowl and land birds, flower gardens, country scenes and other views of nature as observed all her life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Having grown up on a farm, Joyce expresses a deep and abiding love of all things of the earth; farm buildings and animals, flowers, a freshly plowed field, the scurry of clouds across the sky; all of these things enter into her paintings. She paints on location whenever possible.

Joyce teaches oil painting in her country studio near Ridgely, Maryland. Her paintings can be found in private collections throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Mrs. Zeigler has studied with various artists at the Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland and with Robert Abbett and Clyde Aspevig at the Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona. She attends workshops with Plein Air Painters of America.

Painting has certainly enriched my life I find working with color exciting. My object in painting is to combine what I have seen and experienced in a pleasing way—to capture the essence of the subject and record it simply.

The Golf Writers Association of America, Inc., created in 1998 by the GWAA to help its members use the Internet to do their jobs more efficiently. We strive for advancement in press facilities at tournaments, hotel accommodations, local transportation, interviews with players, and we work in concert with the Association of Golf Writers, our British counterparts.

The Golf Writers Association of America needed not only a public presence on the Internet but also, a private members only access area for communications and sharing of industry information among it's members. With annual awards gallery and list of recipients, videos and lists of vital information, the new website has become a hub for it's members.

Art Fair 14C

Art Fair 14C - Jersey City, NJ.

Art Fair 14C - Jersey City, NJ

There are currently more than 200 art fairs around the world, including more than two dozen in New York City, but none accomplishes what 14C can.

The rise of the global art fair has been blamed for the decline of brick and mortar galleries, but Art Fair 14C will allow galleries to take advantage of the opportunities of an art fair, strengthen their client base and giving exposure to their artists, while not imperiling their businesses with potentially ruinous fees.

Art fairs have become incredible engines for art sales – the latest data has art fairs accounting for 46% of global art sales – but the art fair model, where booths can cost tens of thousands of dollars, is an often inaccessible and unaffordable one for small and medium sized galleries, which are the vast majority in New Jersey.

Art Fair 14C’s business model is unique in the world of art fairs. By staging Art Fair 14C in a hotel — and by having as the organizer a 501(c)(3) arts non-profit — the event will be affordable for galleries, whose expenses will be little more than the cost of their hotel rooms.
