The Challenge

The Cultured Pearl is a stunning restaurant located in the summer resort town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, hosting a large and dedicated customer following. Throughout the summer season, the area experiences a significant surge of visitors from all over the globe, transforming The Pearl into a popular destination for sushi and fine dining. The high demand for take-out and dining in the restaurant can be quite intense, yet they consistently rise to the occasion.

The new website was designed to help tackle this challenge by simplifying the process of placing orders and making reservations online. This allows the staff to focus on their duties without being overwhelmed by constant phone calls for reservations and pick-up orders.

Additionally, they aimed to showcase the stunning beauty of this remarkable establishment through photo galleries and videos.

The Goal

For the website, our objective was to enhance the online experience by integrating application interfacing with their point of sale for managing orders and reservations. We aimed to develop a quick and user-friendly interface for all facets of visiting and engaging with the website. Furthermore, we sought to update the old site to meet contemporary standards and provide it with a fresh, modern appearance.

The Solution

We successfully integrated the necessary APIs to seamlessly connect with the restaurants’ Toast point of sale system and Resy for reservations. With straightforward access to these interfaces, ordering food and drinks for pickup or delivery, along with making reservations, becomes a simple one-click process. This significantly reduces the time spent by staff and minimizes the chances of human error. Lastly, of coarse every phone link triggers a direct call to the Cultured Pearl with every capable device.
