M. Joyce Zeigler – Ridgely, MD
M. Joyce Zeigler likes to paint waterfowl and land birds, flower gardens, country scenes and other views of nature as observed all her life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Having grown up on a farm, Joyce expresses a deep and abiding love of all things of the earth; farm buildings and animals, flowers, a freshly plowed field, the scurry of clouds across the sky; all of these things enter into her paintings. She paints on location whenever possible. Joyce teaches oil painting in her country studio near Ridgely, Maryland. Her paintings can be found in private collections throughout the U.S. and Europe. Mrs. Zeigler has studied with various artists at the Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland and with Robert Abbett and Clyde Aspevig at the Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona. She attends workshops with Plein Air Painters of America.“Painting has certainly enriched my life I find working with color exciting.
