Part 24 @6:52 for the Right Elbow Snap

• If your right elbow snap makes the right arms joints and geometry squash during transition apply this fix:

• Addendum – After looking at the Emma 32-1-Mirrored_rig.mb files rightForeArm_IK_JNT and rightHand_IK_JNT in the Node Editor I found that these Multiply Divide nodes (invertValue_MULT3 and invertValue_MULT4) where in place. The entire following process may have been left out of the Part 24’s video lesson.

*Updated revision for more precise clarity 11/4/18:

1. In the Outliner, display Shapes and select the rightForeArm_IK_JNT and rightHand_IK_JNT and then open the Node Editor and display their connections. Then drag the emma_root_transform_CTRL into the Node Editor as well.

2. Create a multiplyDivide Node (I named mine to match Emma’s: invertValue_MULT4) and in the Attribute Editor, set the operation to Multiply and the input 2 value to -1.000.

3. Create two multiplyDivide Nodes and rename them globalScale_rightUpperArm_to_elbowNormalize_DIV and globalScale_rightElbow_to_handNormalize_DIV.

4. Connect the distance attribute of the rightUpperArm_to_elbow_distanceShape node to the Input 1X of the globalScale_rightUpperArm_to_elbowNormalize_DIV node, and then connect it’s Output X to the invertValue_MULT4
Input 1 Input 1X.

5. Connect the invertValue_MULT4 Output X to the rightForeArm_stretchChoice Color 1 Color 1R.

6. Create another multiplyDivide Node (I named mine to match Emma’s: invertValue_MULT3), set the operation to Multiply and the input 2 value to -1.000.

7. Connect the distance attribute of the rightElbow_to_hand_distanceShape node to the input 1X of the globalScale_rightElbow_to_handNormalize_DIV node, and then connect it’s Output X to the invertValue_MULT3 Input 1 Input 1X.

8. Connect the invertValue_MULT3 Output X to the rightUpperArm_stretchChoice Color 1 Color 1R.

9. Finally, middle mouse drag the Emma_root_transform_CTRL into the Node Editor and connect the Scale Y output to both the globalScale_rightElbow_to_handNormalize_DIV and globalScale_rightUpperArm_to_elbowNormalize_DIV’s Input 2X.
